St Leonard's church is a small Anglican church in Minety. Our church building is in Upper Minety but we also work closely with other village organisations and those attending our activities and services come from a variety of backgrounds and places.

The normal worship times at St. Leonard's are as follows:

!st Sunday - Holy Communion (11:00 a.m.)
2nd Sunday - Service of the Word (10:00 a.m.)
3rd Sunday - Holy Communion BCP (8:30 a.m.)
                      Service of the Word (10:00 a.m.)
4th Sunday - Service of the Word (10:00 a.m.)

 


 

What is St Leonard's Church?

St Leonard's church is a small Anglican church in Minety. Our church building is in Upper Minety but we also work closely with other village organisations and those attending our activities and services come from a variety of backgrounds and places.

We have been working within the context of the Diocese of Bristol’s growth programme.This seeks to : ‘Create communities of wholeness with Christ at the centre’ and to enable the church to grow in commitment, partnership, influence and numbers. And we are seeking to create in Minety ‘a community of hope.

What's going on?

 We have a wide range of activities and services for all ages.  Full details are in the church building (pick up a free copy of the brochure "Welcome to St Leonard's").

New Rector!!!!
It is great to be able to announce that we have appointed a new rector for the Braydon Brook parishes. Our new vicar wil be the Rev'd Tonya Nixon who will (hopefully) be taking up her new office February / March next year. Tonya is currently the incumbent for Huntspill and Mark in the diocese of Bath and Wells.

Parish Administrator: The Gauzebrook and Braydon Brook Groups
The Gauzebrook and Braydon Brook Groups of Churches in North Wiltshire are
looking to appoint a new Administrator working 20 hours a week based in the parish
office in Malmesbury.
The Administrator occupies a key role in the life of our parishes by
 Providing a first point of contact for enquiries about weddings, funerals and
baptisms
 Liaising between the parishes and the wider church organization
 Relieving the clergy of a number of administrative tasks to enable them to
focus on other areas of ministry
 Providing administrative support to other PCC officers where appropriate
 Enabling and enhancing effective communication within the parishes
Pay: £9.54 per hour
Leave: statutory bank holidays plus 25 working days per year pro rata
