Light a Candle this Christmas

Will there be someone special to you who will not be with you this Christmas?  Why not come along to St. Leonard’s church and light a candle for them?

The act of lighting a candle in memory of those who have passed is a centuries old tradition that allows us to express what we cannot communicate with words. By lighting a candle for our loved ones, we remember and honour their life and their memory. A single candle is a symbol of the human spirit, and brings light into darkness.

Or perhaps there is someone special who will not be able to be with you this Christmas, why not light a candle as a symbol that you are thinking of them at this special time.

A table will be provided at St. Leonard’s for you to place your candle (please use the free candles provided).  The church will be open all day from 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve and 30 minutes before and after all the Christmas services.
