Posting audio files
You can post audios directly to minety.net.
Make sure you have signed in and registered to post for the organisation. Go to the organisation pages for the organisation you want to post audio files for. Click on the Upload tab.
All media including audio files (podcasts) are organised into albums. You can either add audio files to an existing album, or create a new album. When you click on Upload you will get these two options presented - either select an existing album from the drop down list, or type in a name for a new album. If you are creating a new album, you can add in a description of the album if you like. When you have chosen an album or typed a title for a new album, click on the "Next »" button.
You can now upload audio files into the album. Please note that at the moment only mp3 files can be uploaded. The maximum file size for each individual mp3 file is 30MB - anything bigger than this will fail to upload. If you have much larger audio files to upload you will need resample these or reduce the duration.
You can upload files either by clicking on the Upload button, and selecting mp3 files using the popup explorer window, or dragging and dropping mp3 files directly onto the Upload button using your mouse. The files will start to upload, showing you progress. Please don't navigate away from this page until all files have finished uploading.
When uploading is finished, click the "Finished uploading?" link to go directly to the Photos and audio tab for your organisation, where you can view and play your uploaded audio files and add comments to each file.
How do I add comments to an audio file?
You can add comments or a description to any file you have uploaded. You can't add comments to files anyone else has uploaded. To add comments or a description, navigate to the audio file you have uploaded. Below the audio player you will see a text box and a button labelled "Post". If there are already comments for this file, they will be shown in the text box. To add comments, type in the text box. When you are happy with the comment, click on the "Post" button. Comments will be shown in the text box, and you can edit them here. Always remember to click on the "Post" button to post comments for the file.
